It’s never too late to partake in unforgettable experiences around the world or to provide your family with a vacation that your kids will talk about for the rest of their lives.

To help you get started, here are six, family friendly tours offered by three top notch companies: Intrepid, G Adventures, and Tauck. Each is filled with a variety of excitement and serene landscapes, so make some room on your calendar and let's go exploring.

The Companies

Intrepid is a popular traveling company that specializes in tours all over the world. Their motto says it all; Small groups, Big adventures. They started providing unique, over the top tours in1989.

G Adventures is a touring company that dives deep into the culture and customs of the nations they visit. They provide a variety of diverse adventures, allowing you the true ability to plunge into local cultures.

Tauck is a traveling company with a passion for seeing the world and catering to your whole experience. The adventure began with their first tour in 1925.

The Tours

Pyrenees Mountains

Spend eight amazing days in the micro-state of Andorra, a country in the Pyrenees Mountains along the border between Spain and France. The weeklong tour with Intrepid contains mountain biking, valley walks, cycling, whitewater rafting, traveling on a famous Old Smugglers route, and more. The summer weather is not too hot and not too cold, but just right for a fun-filled adventure with your family that you’ll never forget.

Southeast Asia

Spend 12 sensational family days with G Adventures in April traveling along the coast of Southeast Asia from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City. The journey begins in Hanoi with a cycling tour of the Old Quarter. You will be wowed and awed as you explore ancient lands, but the adventure is just starting. During these twelve days, you’ll also cruise along Halong Bay, have the chance to visit the Royal Tombs, and visit Tien Mu Pagoda.  You can attend a cooking school, board a riverboat, enjoy a traditional dinner with a local family, and much more.

The weather here is beautiful, warm and a little humid, but perhaps the best part is that children as young as the age of 6 are welcome.

Swiss Alps

Can you imagine spending eight family fun days in the Swiss Alps?  Your holiday with Tauck begins in Zurich, Switzerland staying in a 19th-century grand hotel. Each guest room is allocated with a special guest with a unique history. Over the next seven days, your family will journey across Lake Lucerne, board the Grand Glacier Express, rock climb, mountain hike, participate in a fun-filled evening that starts with a horse-drawn carriage, visit the Alpine cheesery, and more. After many wonderful days, the tour ends in Munich, Germany. A dozen tour dates are available, beginning in July and ending in December, enabling you to choose the kind of weather you want for your vacation.

Peru

With dates available from July to December, a ten-day tour into the mysterious country of Peru with Intrepid sounds absolutely wonderful.

The adventure begins in Lima, the largest city in Peru, and ends in Cuzco, a city packed with intriguing history that holds just as many questions as it does answers.

On day one, you will explore hidden catacombs that connect through ancient tunnels underneath Lima. Later, take in the scenic, architectural sites, traverse through the jungle, and observe the native wildlife.

Throughout your ten-day journey, your family will eat local cuisine, trek through museums, shop at markets located in Pisac, and discover the past life of the Inca Empire.

UK & France

If Europe sounds like the perfect destination, then hop aboard this eight-day family fun-filled Tauck tour that begins in London and ends in France. The available dates run from the beginning of July through mid August.

Tauck accommodations include a four-night stay in the five-star hotel, The Royal Horseguards, which looks over the Thames Embankment. Explore the Tower of London (one of London’s most notorious buildings), Windsor Castle, and several gorgeous English parks.

Two days later, board the Eurostar train to Paris where you’ll have a spectacular view of the Eiffel Tower, and become inspired when your family strolls through the iconic Louvre Museum.

South Africa

If you lean towards a more exotic adventure, consider an Intrepid trip to South Africa. Start the adventure in the city of Johannesburg, a large and dynamic city that was borne from a local gold rush. During your tour, you will discover the history and the mysteries of Africa. This is only the start to 12 days filled with beautiful African scenery as you meander through fascinating plains and view the world’s largest population of white rhinos.

Prepare yourself to safari through Hlane Royal National Park located in northeast Swazi. Hlane Park contains lions, elephants, giraffes, and more. Before ending your tour back in Johannesburg, your family will have the chance to hike Blyde River Canyon, an alluring sight with lush green, mountainous formations.

All over the globe there are many family friendly tours. These tours will let your families experience other cultures and countries as well as have the experience of a lifetime.
