Nothing says Americana like a car trip and baseball. If you put the two together you get the World’s Largest Bat at the Louisville Slugger Museum in Louisville, Kentucky. Built in 1995, this 34-ton baseball bat stands at 120 feet high and seems to lean against the adjacent buildings. It lives up to the saying, “Go big or go home!”

Cadillac Ranch - Amarillo, Texas

This art installment is located in Amarillo, Texas, deep within the panhandle and plains of this giant state. All generations of Cadillac cars ranging from 1949 to 1963 can be seen plunging into the ground at the angle similar to the Great Pyramid in Egypt. Make sure to head out with a fresh can of spray paint as inclusion in the artwork is encouraged.

Ole’s Big Game Steakhouse & Lounge - Paxton, Nebraska

Found on I-80 during a long stretch of plains, cornfields and one of the straightest roads in the nation, Ole’s can give your eyes and your stomach some much needed rest. Located in Paxton, Nebraska, Ole’s was established on August 9, 1933, one day after Prohibition ended. Ole prided himself as a hunter and over the next 35 years, added to the collection of 200+ trophy heads gracing the walls from all over the world.
