Road trips are a uniquely American experience that you need to participate in at least once in your life. Western U.S. National Park Road Trip

Some of the greatest American frontiers can be found in a span of 13 hours on this National Park Road trip. Have your breath taken away as you start at the Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona. Hike your day away through gorgeous canyons in Utah’s Zion National Park. Explore sand dunes, salt flats and beautiful boulders in Death Valley National Park before continuing to the last place on this road trip itinerary, Yosemite National Park. Route 66

While this road trip officially had its birth in Springfield, Missouri, this famous road takes you through Texas, New Mexico, into Arizona, and ends in the great state of California. Serving as a major pathway for people leaving the Dust Bowl in the 1930s, this stretch of road now holds some of the most iconic road trip locations in the world. From the Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, Texas to the Santa Monica Pier in California, make sure to have your camera ready for those kitschy but memorable pictures.

California’s Pacific Coast Highway (PCH)

From San Francisco to the City of Angels in the south, 655 miles will lead you across some of the most beautiful and rugged coastlines in the States. Desert beaches give way to rocky coasts, pine trees, and mighty redwoods. Notable stops include the Redwood National Park, the Golden Gate Bridge, Big Sur, and Hearst Castle.

Million Dollar Highway, Colorado

Another stretch of road with spectacular scenery, US Route 500 will take you from the deserts of New Mexico into the pines of Colorado with promises of grand adventures in between. The hairpin turns, steep cliffs, and gorges have turned this trek through the mountains into a popular motorcycling spot. If you’re brave enough to champion the mountain roads then million dollar views, hot springs, National Parks, and small town diners await you.
